The jail's automated status system can lag court action. The county asks callers to try after 3 p.m. on weekdays when an update has not appeared. For non-emergency public-safety routing, Central Dispatch lists 989-831-3500. Call 911 for an emergency.

Choose the Correct Route

Records often sit with different offices. Start with the narrowest agency and request an existing record rather than asking an office to create a new list.

  • Use the jail for current Montcalm custody information and booking-record custodian questions.
  • Use the County FOIA Coordinator for a bounded written request for an existing booking record or releasable booking photograph.
  • Use 64B District Court and MiCOURT for arraignment, court events, and a later disposition.
